Airborne gravimeter GT-2A

Airborne gravimeter GT-2A. This gravimeter system has been developed by the Russian company “Gravimetric Technology” and is designed to measure force of gravity inflight onboard a plane (a helicopter). The main element of the system is a gravimetric sensor mounted on a platform of a three-axis vertical gyro. The proofmass of the sensor is a flat double-wound coil installed in the gap of a differential-magnetic system, which consists of four thermally compensated magnets.

Double-channel quantum aeromagnetometer AeroMaster-100 is a basic component of most of the airborne geophysical complexes, which are used by GNPP “Aerogeophysica”. Besides measuring magnetic field intensity, AeroMaster-100 performs the functions of the system integrator and synchronizer, which processes data from a radar altimeter, a three-component ferroprobe, a barometer sensor, a temperature sensor and a GPS receiver.

Low frequency inductive airborne electromagnetic surveying systems DIP-4A (for airplanes) and EM-4H (for helicopters) simultaneously register the elements of an electromagnetic field, which determine the value of bedrock conductivity, at the frequencies of 130, 520, 2080 and 8360 Hz, using the method of dipole induction profiling (DIP, Frequency Domain EM). A more than sixty-fold difference between a low and a high frequency provide for effective penetration and an ability to distinguish deep features at various sections of low or high conductivity.

Vibrating-string airborne gravimeter “Graviton-M”. The measurement module of “Graviton-M” consists of three string gravimeters placed into special adjustable mounting pads and gravimeter control units. The string gravimeter with hydraulic mass damping has been developed specifically for airborne gravity surveys. The gravimeters are lightweight, highly vibration-proof, have almost no cross-coupling, have a wide measurement range and a convenient system of digital data recording.
