By this method the estimation of NO2, SO2, CH4 concentration in near-surface atmosphere is carried out.

The survey employs path (trass) gas analyzer. NO2, SO2, CH4 absorption lines in spectrum of reflected and scattered sun light are used for concentration estimation.
This method has been used by Aerogeophysica in the course of ecological surveys from 1991.
