The advantage of airborne gravimetry measurements over ground measurements is enough obvious: rapid data acquisition on the area that is difficult or impossible to access, completion of the informative surveys for mineral exploration in the economical and effective manner.
As a result of continuous design activity Aerogeophysica is the only Russian company, offering commercial airborne gravimetry for mineral exploration. The results of comparison between ground and airborne gravity measurements presented in the picture 3. The average accuracy calculated for total survey area by comparison of airborne and ground measurements is 0.55 mGal, and 0.44 mGal for covered with 1:100000 scale survey sites.
Aerogeophysica has been employed the airborne gravimetry under commercial exploration projects since 2001.
For this type of measurements the following airborne equipment is used:
Graviton – M, joint development with leading Russian research institutes,
GTA – 1 – developed by Russian company Gravimetric Technologies.

This survey, along with another completed and executed to-day airborne gravity surveys, proved that in 2001 Aerogeophysica enhanced its capacities with one more new and perspective survey method.
