Webinar description
Over the past 10 years, airborne geophysical surveys for hydrocarbon exploration have covered approximately 2 million km2 in our country.
Experience has shown that airborne geophysical technologies can be successfully applied at the regional and prospecting stages of hydrocarbon exploration. The greatest economic benefit from using airborne geophysical surveys in the early stages of prospecting comes from more precise positioning of costly seismic surveys and drilling.
It is now possible to carry a wide range of methods simultaneously on a single aircraft, including gravimetry, magnetometry, electromagnetic surveying, laser scanning and photography. This combination of airborne geophysical survey methods enables both exploration tasks and preparations for ground-based geological exploration to be addressed at the same time.
Software products are designed to address an increasingly broad range of geological tasks. Office-based work is organised so that the processing and interpretation tools and algorithms for each individual area are selected using a tailored rather than a uniform approach.
Airborne geophysics helps optimise hydrocarbon exploration, with reduced financial and time expenditure being the principal benefit for subsoil licence holders.
