GNPP Aerogeofizika will participate in the 49th session of the D.G. Uspensky – V.N. Strakhov International Seminar “Theoretical and Practical Issues in the Geological Interpretation of Gravity, Magnetic and Electric Fields”

The 49th session of the D.G. Uspensky – V.N. Strakhov International Seminar “Theoretical and Practical Issues in the Geological Interpretation of Gravity, Magnetic and Electric Fields” will take place in Yekaterinburg on 23–27 January 2023

The seminar's principal venues are the Bulashevich Institute of Geophysics, Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (100 Amundsen Street, Yekaterinburg), and Ural State Mining University (30 Kuibyshev Street).

The D.G. Uspensky – V.N. Strakhov Seminar “Theoretical and Practical Issues in the Geological Interpretation of Geophysical Fields” has been held annually since 1971 and is one of the principal forums on the theory and practice of potential-field interpretation. Its founder, the distinguished geophysicist Dmitry Grigoryevich Uspensky, was actively engaged in teaching and research in Saint Petersburg in the 1930s.

GNPP Aerogeofizika will give two presentations in which our representatives will discuss the company's principal areas of activity and the new technologies that we are actively developing. A separate presentation will address the current status and prospects of airborne gravimetry in Russia. Since 2000, our company has been developing and continuously improving methods for airborne gravity surveys serving various purposes and conducted under diverse geological and landscape conditions.

Modern airborne gravimetry comprises a complex technological combination of measurement hardware and software, including navigation support, original survey procedures, and data-processing technologies and algorithms. Implementing all these factors as an inseparable whole is essential to making effective use of the capabilities of modern airborne gravity surveying.
