The first Far Eastern Subsoil Use Forum brought together major subsoil users from the regions of the Far Eastern Federal District, leading mining experts, and heads of government bodies, research institutes and public organisations to discuss prospects and challenges in the development of subsoil use and industry.
Pavel Surenovich Babayants, Chief Geophysicist at JSC GNPP Aerogeofizika, presented “Modern airborne geophysical technologies: a tool for improving the efficiency of geological exploration”. He explained in detail why airborne geophysical technologies are now an effective means of optimising geological exploration and can be successfully applied at all stages of geological work, from regional investigations to prospecting for and evaluating hydrocarbon and solid mineral deposits.
