Despite all the difficulties associated with the COVID 19 pandemic, GNPP Aerogeofizika has begun an integrated airborne geophysical survey (aeromagnetic and airborne gravity surveying) of the Yenisei–Khatanga Trough, in an area encompassing the eastern part of the Rassokha and southwestern part of the Balakhnin mega-arches. The work is being performed under a state assignment to the Federal State Budgetary Institution VNIGNI. The survey aims to investigate the regional geological structure to identify successions prospective for oil and gas and potential hydrocarbon accumulation zones, and to refine petroleum-geological zonation.
