Abstract:
New instrumentation and technical developments, expansion of the fleet of available aircraft platforms, advances in theory and the creation of new data interpretation algorithms enable the effective use of modern airborne geophysical technologies at every stage of geological exploration.
Airborne geophysical technologies reduce the time and cost of geological investigation, enable work in inaccessible areas and acquire a whole range of geophysical parameters in a single flight pass. Integrated analysis and interpretation of the resulting data address a broad range of tasks: from regional prediction to prospecting and evaluation of both hydrocarbon and mineral deposits, as well as specific problems arising in engineering site investigations.
