Integrated airborne geophysical work in Transbaikal Territory

Low-altitude, high-accuracy aeromagnetic and gamma-ray spectrometric surveys were conducted for PJSC Norilsk Nickel to prospect for copper and gold deposits. The survey suite also included airborne laser scanning and aerial photography to plan subsequent ground-based work.

The work was performed using an ultralight aircraft capable of carrying quantum aeromagnetometer sensors on its wings and a complete digital 1024-channel airborne gamma-ray spectrometer unit. Laser scanning used a high-accuracy lidar with a scanning rate of up to 240 000 points per second, equipped with an inertial system.
